、前言
為 適應我國加入世界貿易組織和我國對外開放的需要，我局從1997年起開始將一部分國家標準翻譯成英文。在翻譯過程中
，不少有關單位建議對翻譯的格式和通用 用語進行規範。為此
，我司於1999年初成立了《國家標準英文版翻譯指南》編製工作組
，開始指南的起草工作。編製《國家標準英文英文版翻譯指南》的目的 是：
　　1． 對國家標準英文版標準中需要統一的格式進行規範
　　2． 對國家標準英文版標準中需要統一的語句和用詞進行規範
　　3． 對與現行GB1.1及ISO/IEC導則要求有出入的老格式標準文本中有必要進行調整的內容進行規範。 　　
本指南適用於將我國國家標準翻譯成英文文本的標準化中心
二、格式
　　2.1 等同/修改（等效）采用國際標準的國家標準應使用原英文版本，並符合ISO/IEC指南21（1999版）的要求。
　　2.2 對於非等效采用國際標準的國家標準，在翻譯時應盡可能與原英文版本格式保持一致。
　　2.3 對於非采用國際標準的國家標準
，在翻譯時應盡可能以相應國際標準作為格式參考。
　　2.4 封麵和首頁格式見附錄A和附錄B。
