中國將實行食品召回製度(China to Install Food Recall System)

近年來，中國麵臨一係列涉及食品汙染的醜聞。食品生產監管司司長說，自2002年中國設立了與食物有關產品標準以來，中國的食品質量獲得了改善。

China's state-run media say the country will impose its first food recall system by the end of the year to try to control the sale of unsafe food products. The "China Daily" newspaper reports Tuesday that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will impose the recall system gradually and that all domestic and foreign food producers and distributors will have to follow the system.

The newspaper quotes the director general of the administration's food production and supervision department as saying the new system will target potentially dangerous and unapproved food products. He said it would be in line with international practices.

China has faced a series of scandals involving tainted food in recent years. The director general says the quality of China's food products has improved since Beijing set standards for food-related products in 2002.
